7 weeks - 7/3/07 - The Heartbeat

Jackie and I went to visit Dr. Sheri Hamersley for the first time since we found out about the pregnancy two weeks ago. We were both a little nervous going in - considering the issues in the past. We were both pleasantly surprised to see the the gray area in the sac on the monitor. During the first pregnancy, the sac was empty and the second time, all three (yes, THREE!!!) sacs were empty. The part of the office visit that really left an impression on us was when we heard and saw the heartbeat of the baby! We were ecstatic to hear it and to also find out that everything was normal. We know it's early - but we will continue to pray that the embryo will progress and that we end up with a healthy baby. This is a big step for us since we've never reached this point before in the previous two pregnancies! We're both very excited, very happy, and - at the same time - very nervous.

7 Semanas – 7/3/07 – Los Latidos

Hi Noli and Jackie, I don't know you guys but i wish you the best with your baby. I am 12 weeks pregnant and would like to ask you about Dr. Hammersley. My OBGYN is in DC because I've lived there for 7 years but we have moved to Kensington and it is a hassle to go to DC for the routine check ups .Also my dr. works with Washington Hospital Center and it took us 45 minutes to get there yesterday that I went for the NT screening. Is Dr. Hammersley a regular OBGYN? or she only does fetal screenings? Please advise me on this because most likely we have to change dors pretty soon.
Thanks!!!
ELENA

I'm sorry I did not get to see your comment until now. I do hope that you get to see my reply. Dr. Hamersley is our "high risk" doctor. She only does fetal screennings; she is wonderful and I highly recommend her to anyone who is going thru a high risk pregnancy. I do hope that this is not your case and I wish you the best of luck!
