Grandma Nancy Farewell - April 17, 2008

My mom went to stay with my sister Cyntia and her daughter Adriana a week before she returned to Bolivia. She wanted to spend some time with them. Even though she was just in Virginia, I missed her dearly. I was very sad the night we took her to my sister’s. I knew then it was going to be tough seeing her leave at the airport.

My Birthday - April 16, 2008

I usually don’t like to have big celebrations for my birthday, and this year was not an exception. But we had very special guests to our house. Noli’s brother Ruben, his wife Kim and their baby girl Abby came to visit from Lexington, KY. It was really nice to see them and even nicer to have them visit on my birthday.
This particular birthday was extra special because not only did I have my mom visiting from Bolivia, but I also had my baby boy…



Abby is such a cuttie!!! but she's a little shy. Grandpa was the only one who was able to hold her for a few minutes while she was very distracted playing with the cabinet door in the kitchen.

As soon as she heard mommy laughing, the fun was over! Grandpa had to give her up to Mom.



Alex was taking a short nap while my mom and I were having a good drink that Grandpa fixed for us.



Noli surprised me with an awesome birthday present. He got me the camera I've been wanting for several months now. I just did not have the heart to buy it because of how expensive it is. He got me the Cannon Rebel XTi. It takes beautiful pictures!!! Before the night was over, we had to have some cake and I had to blow the candles... in this case, it was one big candle!!!
